What files can be previewed in STAC?

STAC can preview all sort of files, however there are some limitations regarding Audio, Photos and Videos. Some these files have a specific codec that most of the browsers (MS Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc.) cannot preview or it is proprietary file, and that is where STAC is limited. The limitation is not in the application, but in the user's workstation.

The STAC team has been working tirelessly to provide a better file viewing experience. One of the solution is the CMS (CIP Media Services) that converts files to be previewed.

Info
Agency must have an active CIP Portal and CIP Storage subscription in order to use the CMS feature.
