Important Notice:

Warning
Agencies will need to upgrade their STAC 2 to the latest version, 2.90.0, prior to upgrading STAC 3 to RC-5 version.
Warning
Do NOT upgrade STAC 2 without upgrading STAC 3.
Alert
There is a new version of STAC Tools, 0.3.0, that will be upgraded automatically in the user workstation.

Improvements:

Card

  1. [#2194] Improved the Contact section in the Directory Card to only show current addresses.

Case

  1. [#1803] Fixed issue that was automatically multi selecting cases when the List Mode is enable and the user was creating cases.
  2. ★ [#1967] Fixed issue with optional User Query / Reports arguments that were returning as NULL when no value is entered.

Charge

  1. [#1980] Fixed issue with inactive charge variables that were being displayed when adding a new charge in the Charge Maintenance or File Case Wizard.
  2. [#2074] Fixed issue with "unsaved values" message when single disposing multiple charges in the Charge Maintenance.

Configurations

  1. ★ [#1769] Improved the Document Editor in the Document Maintenance to highlight the variables.
  2. ★ [#1940] Added a NAME, BADGE, ADDRESS variable to RELATIONSHIP DOCUMENT variable type.
  3. ★ Added new code tables.

Directory

  1. [#1798] Fixed issue with Copy/Paste in the directory that was saving in the original directory were the information was copied instead the directory selected.
  2. ★ [#1908] Added the "Courtroom" field to the Details when the directory category is Criminal Justice Personnel.
  3. [#1936] Improved the automatically directory selection in the Directory Compression when typing the Directory ID or a name that is an unique match.
  4. ★ [#2170] Improved "E-Service via Exchange" field to default to Email in the Directory Wizard.
  5. [#2175] Improved the Name for the directory category Business to allow special characters such Ampersand (&), Hyphen (-) and Pound sign (#).

Diversion

  1. ★ [#2111] Added Amount Paid and Balance fields to the Details panel.
  2. Added an auto refresh in the grid when the user adds/edits/deletes a diversion payment to reflect the changes in the Amount Paid and Balance fields.

Image

  1. [#2023] Fixed issue in the PDF Redaction that was blanking the page after redaction in some specific documents.
  2. [#2026] Fixed issue that was giving an error without a message when the user was deleting an image in a folder.
  3. [#2101] Fixed issue with "Paste" option that was not saving the image when the user initiate it by dragging and dropping the files.
  4. ★ [#2258] Fixed error message when previewing DOCX files that contains Objects (such as Images, Text boxes, etc.).
    1. Objects (such as Images, Text boxes, etc.) mentioned above will not be previewed.
  5. ★ Added WEBA and WEBM extensions as allowed extensions for Media Analysis.
    1. Be aware that even the extensions being allowed, some files may not get analyzed due to the media codec.

Investigation

  1. [#2034] Fixed issue that was not creating the initial Investigation Event based in setting under Investigation Options screen when creating an investigation.
  2. Fixed issue that was not pre-selecting the Subject based in the relationship configured under Investigation Options screen.

Live View

  1. [#2159] Fixed issue that was not showing a properly message when the case is missing UCN.

Merge

  1. ★ [#1653] Added the Subpoena Date step when merging a subpoena and the event associated has more than one current/future entry, allowing the user to select one of the entries to be the Dt Schedule value.
  2. ★ [#1878] Added the Date Subpoena End column in the Select Recipients step when merging a subpoena document.
  3. [#2091] Fixed issue that was not showing the "Cancel" button option in the Attorney's Pending Review screen.
  4. ★ [#2232] Added the Relationship Date column in the Select Relationship step.
  5. Fixed issue with documents not being previewed in the Pending Review screen after the merge.

My STAC

  1. ★ [#1134] Added a "Extract From" column in the My Hyperlink Center to identify the "path" on the file in the package.
    1. Only applies to new URLs.
  2. [#1962] Fixed the display of the Widgets that was showing an extra vertical scroll bar and not showing a horizontal scroll bar.
  3. [#2193] Fixed issue that showing the Details/Case information of the record selected.
  4. ★ [#2234] Added ASA/APD column in the Image Review grid.
  5. [#2363] Fixed hidden column issue in the Image Review screen when the user changes columns width.

Notification

  1. ★ [#1951] Added a CIP notification "Duplicated Image Added" to notify users when they add an image that is already in the case.
    1. By default this notification is inactive.
    2. User created and STAC Administrator will be notified.
  2. [#2228] Fixed spelling error in a CIP notification message.
  3. ★ [#2236] Added a CIP notification "Pending Emails" to notify users when there e-mails have not been sent in the past 3 hours.

Profile

  1. [#2138] Fixed issue that was not showing "Open STAC Tools" option.
  2. Moved the Tag Display section from the Case List to the User Preference screen.

Relationship

  1. ★ Added an option to create a Guest Deposition.

Report

  1. ★ [#2117] Fixed error that was not allowing reports to be executed due to a case sensitive difference between report argument description and parameter name in the crystal report.
  2. ★ [#2199] Fixed error in Directory arguments that was not allowing the user to search a directory when the argument description started with a numerical character.
  3. [#2250] Changed the CIP Images to be Purged reported to retrieve the oldest 20k image records.
    1. Some agencies have a high volume of records to be purged and it was causing a timeout when executing the report.

Request

  1. ★ [#1606] Added validation to prevent a user to complete a request with a Request Status that is not marked to close request.
  2. [#1895] Added Date Completed field in the Request tab grid.

Scoresheet

  1. [#2102] Fixed issue saving a scoresheet as an image that was not following the default values in the Image Add form.

Searches

  1. [#2202] Fixed issue with "< >" characters in the Special Instructions field that was breaking Statute Search screen layout.

Summary

  1. ★ [#1580] Improved the user ability to set and preserve the width, sort and order the columns in the Summary pages (not valid to Summary Reports).
  2. [#1882] Fixed issue in the Summary selection (Summary Page or Summary Report) to preserve the last selection when switching between cases / screens.
  3. ★ Improved the query pages settings in the Summary to allow add the Captions, Hyperlink and Default Order of columns.

UI

  1. ★ [#1360] Improved grid header layout in screen resolution to allow users to still use the search box.
  2. ★ [#1508] Fixed issue with text between "< >" characters that was not showing in the grid columns or view more dialogs.
  3. [#1771] Fixed the Tag menu in the Case List to show all the tags.
  4. [#1777] Fixed issue with some Add/Edit screens in small resolutions that were cutting the bottom and not adding a scrollbar.
  5. ★ [#1788] Improved UI to preserve the last right panel selected in each tab.
  6. [#1879] Changed Autocomplete icon.
  7. [#1948] Fixed issue with grouping Date fields in the grids that was causing duplicated groups of the same date.
  8. [#2008] Improved the Defendant Name alignment in the Case List when wrapping the column.
  9. [#2030] Fixed issue in the Case List that was not immediately reflecting the tags after they are added.
  10. [#2043] Fixed an issue that was removing filters being used in the grid when user opens Case/Directory card.
  11. ★ [#2119] Change the List Mode to enable by default.
  12. ★ [#2284] Improved the performance when multi selecting records.
  13. ★ Removed ability to Paste (Add/Edit form) from the Clipboard when editing records.

Wizards

  1. ★ [#1934] Added a header instruction in the Single Consolidation to explain the purpose of the Star icon.
    1. Star icon is used to determined the Main Case in the consolidation.
  2. ★ [#1994] Improved the Duplicate Case wizard to remove Discovery flag in the images.
  3. ★ [#2083] Added Class and Division fields to the Duplicate Case wizard.
  4. ★ [#2096] Fixed issue in the Reopen Case wizard that preventing the user to save it due a relationship security validation.
  5. [#2134] Improved the order that the required relationships are opened when creating a case to follow the order information in the respective relationship types.
  6. ★ [#2076] Fixed issue that was not saving the Sentence Wizard when the User Status of the case was not Closed.
  7. {#2154] Fixed issue with Division auto assigned that was not filtering by Location.
  8. ★ [#2130] Improved Transfer Case to allow to save it when at least one of the following fields is changed: Location, Case type, Department or County.
  9. ★ [#1484] Improved Single Consolidation wizard to keep the Charge Type of the new sentence in the Main Case as the current and ask the user if it wants to open the File Case wizard when the Main Case has not been filed yet.
  10. ★ Improved the Duplicate Case wizard to add a CASEDUPL event in the new case to inform that the case was duplicated.
