What is a Case card?

The case card is a screen that can give the user a quick glance of the important information of the case selected without actually opening the case.
The case card also has a feature called the Timeline that allows users to view a timeline of specific events from the case.

How to access a Case Card?

The Case card can be opened anywhere in STAC that the case number is a hyperlink. This will typically be the Case list and in the detail sections of a case.
Users will know the Case number is a hyperlink because it will be underlined when the mouse hovers over it and it has this icon next to the case number .

Caution: Users can have one case opened in the background and select the case card of a different case. Verify the case card that the user is reviewing is the correct case. 

What information is displayed in the Case Card?

On the top of the card, users can verify what case they are looking at. The top of the card includes information about the Defendant of the case:
  1. Case Number
  2. Case Status
  3. View case option (Opens the case in a new tab)
  4. Defendant Name
  5. View Directory (opens the directory module with the Defendant information in a new tab)
  6. Alias information (If applicable)
  7. Date of Birth
  8. Age
  9. Race/Sex
  10. Email
  11. Phone number
  12. Address
  13. Bar Number (if applicable)
  14. Badge Number (if applicable)
  15. Squad Number (if applicable)
  16. District Number (if applicable)
  17. Directory Warning associated to the Defendant (if applicable)
The Next section shows a quick view of other relationships and important dates for the case.
  1. ASA/APD
  2. DAT
  3. Judge
  4. Offense Date
  5. Arrest Date
  6. Open Date
  7. Filed Date
  8. Next Hearing
  9. Main Charge
  10. Disposition
  11. Agency Report #
  12. Booking #
Case Information shows:
This section shows a few more fields about the case information that might be helpful to see without having to go into the case
  1. Case Type
  2. Department
  3. Division
  4. Court Type
  5. County
  6. Location
  7. UCN
Charges: 
The Charge drop down will show all current charges in the case
  1. Count #
  2. Statute #
  3. Description
  4. Charge level
  5. Charge degree
Linked/Consolidated Cases:
This section will show if the case is linked or consolidated with another case and includes the case numbers of the related cases.
