How to use Tags?

Tags

To add a tag to a case, the user should right click on the Case in the Case list. Then, hover over the Tags option.

Users have the option on how they would like to display the tag, remove all of the tags from the case, or create a new tag. Users can also select from a tag that they have already created.

Alert
The Tags are per user, so if one user adds a tag to the case it is only shown for that specific user that is logged in. Currently, there is not a way to add a Case tag for the entire office to see, it is only per user!

Users are able to use the Keyword Search on the Case list to pull up all cases with the same tag. To search for Tags use #Tagname (Example: #OpenCases)

New Tag

Users are able to create a new tag to add them to a case.

Tags are limited to 20 characters, and the user can select the text color and background color for the tag.

Display Tag

Hidden

The hidden option was created to hide the tags from the case list. This might be important if a user is sharing their screen or presenting to a large group and does not want others to see their case tags.

While tags are hidden, the user is still able to filter and search by the filters. However, the tag will not be displayed on the case list until the user chooses the display to be either Mini or Original.

Mini

Tags can be displayed as a miniature tag. This shows a smaller view of the tags and is a less invasive option on the screen.

Original

Tags are defaulted to show as the original tag. This will show the entire tag and will also give the option to remove a single tag from the case. If there are multiple tags, the user can either use the x next to each tag to remove them individually or use the Remove Tags option to remove all of the tags for that case.

Remove Tag
The Remove Tags option will remove all of the tags that are associated to the case. If a case has multiple tags, and the user wants to only remove one of them, they should have the tags displayed as original and select the x next to the tag they would like removed.
