VOCA update/Validations Rules

1. Grant Items: Current D01 record will be inactive

D01 - Assistance in Filing Compensation Claims

2. Grant Items: C08, C09 and C10 become D01, D02 and D03

D01 - Emergency Shelter or Safe House
D02 - Transitional Housing
D03 - Relocation Assistance

3. Victimization Type 27-Violation of protection order will be inactive

4. New dropdown added to the VOCA Information screen called Other Explanation.

  1. This field is not going to be automatically on the screen; Agency must add it through Design Mode.
  2. This field is a complement the Primary/Secondary Victimization Type when one of them is selected Other
  3. The list of values is based in the VOCA Glossary
    1. False imprisonment
    2. Property crimes
    3. Violation of a court order

5. New VOCA Validations

  1. Business directory does not qualify for VOCA.
    1. Prompt Message: This option is not available for Business Victims!
  2. Primary/Secondary Victimization Type cannot be the same.
    1. Prompt Message: VOCA Primary Victimization Type cannot be the same as VOCA Secondary Victimization Type.
  3. Cannot select Other Explanation item if Primary or Secondary Victimization Type is not Other.
    1. Prompt Message: VOCA Other Explanation cannot be selected when Primary/Secondary Victimization Type is not Other
  4. Other Explanation item is required when Primary or Secondary Victimization Type is Other.
    1. Prompt Message: VOCA Other Explanation must be selected when a Primary/Secondary Victimization Type is Other
  5. Primary Victimization Type is required when VOCA Qualify is checked.
    1. Prompt Message: VOCA Primary Victimization Type is required when VOCA Qualify is checked.

6. Reports

  1. VOCA Sub-Grantee Outcomes: It was added the D section in the report.
  2. VOCA Types of Victimization: The calculation for Victimization type was changed to consider Primary and Secondary, and also to classify the Others by Other Explanation.

7. Notifications: 3 notifications will be executed along with the template script to alert STAC Administrators.

  1. VOCA Information - Primary/Secondary Victimization Type duplicated: When Primary and Secondary are the same code.
  2. VOCA Information - Primary Victimization Type invalid: When the Primary code does not exist in the list.
  3. VOCA Information - Secondary Victimization Type invalid: When the Secondary code does not exist in the list.
