How to use Beyond Trust Remote Support?

What is Beyond Trust Remote Support?

Beyond Trust Remote Support is a secure software solution that allows IT professionals to remotely access and control any computer or mobile device, regardless of its location or network.

Why CIP uses this software?

It enables CIP Support team to troubleshoot, provide technical assistance, perform system maintenance, and train remote users by facilitating secure connections.

Is Beyond Trust in compliance with FDLE requirements?

Beyond Trust Remote Support is in compliance with FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy and meets the rigorous requirements of Federal Information Processing Standard Publication (FIPS) 140-2 Level 1 validation. 

How it works?

1. Browse to CIP website (www.cipi.net) and click on "Click here to access the Beyond Trust Support" link located at the footer of the website.


2. Type the Session Key provided by CIP Support representative and select Submit.


3. Inform your Name and select Submit.


4. Beyond Trust will automatically request to share the screen. Select Refuse.

Be sure that the name of the CIP Support representative is the same that you are in contact.

5. CIP Support representative will request to elevate access to full remote support. Select Accept.


6. A client will be downloaded automatically. Once completed, double-click on the client to run it. The Remote Support Customer Client will start loading.

In case it is not, there is an option on the page to manually download it.



7. CIP Support representative will request to view and control your computer. Select Allow.


8. Now the CIP Support representative can view and control your workstation. They will be able to work with you to troubleshoot the issue reported.


9. You can terminate the remote session at any time, by clicking on Stop Sharing and closing the Client app. The CIP Support representative can also terminate the session. Once the session is completed, you will be redirect to a page that states that the session was finished, and nobody has access or control of your workstation.
