What is E-service?

E-service are documents that are sent to the opposing side via email, exchange, or CIP Portal.
Info
E-service can be configured independently of the E-file settings. However, if a document is configured to be E-filed and E-serviced, STAC will not wait for the Clerk’s confirmation before sending the E-service. The E-service is sent at the time the document is submitted to FACC.

The E-service process sends the merged documents to a preconfigured relationship, usually the opposing attorney. The document can be sent by email, but it is important to note that the Email process and E-service are different procedures.

For E-service by email, STAC will first look at the email_alternate_eservice. If there is no address defined on email_alternate_eservice, the system will use the email field and the cc_email field.

How can E-service be sent?

Users are able to assign how they would like a directory to receive the E-service. The options include:
  1. Email
  2. Exchange
  3. Email and Exchange
  4. CIP Portal
To set a directories method of E-service, go to: Directory > Email tab > Edit > E-service via exchange
Alert
These options are only available for Directory Category=Employee and Criminal Justice Personnel. All other directory categories can add an email to be e-serviced via Email.
