Key Topics

Image Tab and Comment Display

· Issue: Carriage returns in comment fields do not render properly.

· Status: Under analysis. Fix targeted for RC3, with improved formatting and “View More” behavior.

Automatic Logout Configuration

· Request: Agencies want longer session durations to prevent workflow disruption.

· Status: Next version will allow configurable timeouts between 30–720 minutes per agency.

Relationship Tab Navigation

· Issue: Directory links now take multiple clicks compared to STAC 2.

· Update: Right-click options now allow adding phones/addresses directly from the relationship tab.

· Next Version: Directory card will gain an Identifiers section for one-click access to key info.

Note Tab and Reports

· Request: Add defendant name column in note tab report; fix inconsistent word wrapping.

· Status: Note report was Internal (non-CIP) report; CIP will assist with formatting. Word wrap fix expected by RC3.

Consolidation

· Apply to All behavior: Disabled selectively to prevent cross-case data bleed. CIP will publish a variable-type matrix outlining allowed “Apply to All” cases vs. relationships.

· Charge/Victim actions: Request to allow disposing charges or adding victims within the consolidation wizard. CIP will review feasibility for future update.

Deposition & Document Maintenance

· Request: Add a unified Deposition Calendar and a “Date Modified” column in Document Maintenance.

· Status: Consolidated deposition search and dashboard widget in development. RC2 will include the Date and User Modified fields on the Document Maintenance grid to allow those fields to be searched/sorted.

Inactive Directory Records

· Issue: Inactive directory records appearing in reviewer dropdowns.

· Action: CIP guided cleanup via User Setup → Clear Cache. The reviewer drop down displays Active Users; it is not based on the Directory record being active or inactive. 

Document and Data Management

· Document Indexing: Only PDFs, OCR’d images, and transcribed videos are indexed for search; Word docs are not.

· Preview Pane Persistence: CIP to review keeping last “Preview/Details” view on all tabs, fix expected by RC-3.

· Note Drag-and-Drop: Enhancement under review to allow drag-copy like Image Tab.

· Score Sheet Enhancement: Awaiting confirmation for new “Clerk Number” field before rollout.

Help Desk Feedback

· Transparency: Users praised visibility of ticket comments and statuses

· Action Item: CIP will maintain a single consolidated Pending List for consistency.

Q&A

1) Carriage returns/line breaks missing in Image/Notes comments

A: Under active work for RC2. Goal: show line breaks properly with a “view more” that balances readability and performance.

2) Auto-logout (FDLE) is too aggressive; can we change it?

A: Yes. Next release adds an agency setting: 30–720 minutes. Agencies can align with local policy.

4) Relationship tab lost “1-click” hyperlink to Directory, can we speed up edits?

A: Use right-click on the relationship row → Add Address / Add Phone (writes to Directory without leaving the case).

You can still open the Directory Card and then open full Directory (2 clicks).

Next version: Identifiers on the Directory Card.

5) Consolidation: disposing charges / adding victims during the wizard?

A: Currently minimized to reduce complexity; team will review restoring key actions. 

6) “Apply Event Date to all cases” (multi-case merges) parity with STAC 2?

A: Certain variables intentionally don’t allow cross-case apply to prevent errors.

7) Images/Notes filters & “Show Current/History” don’t persist between tabs

A: Changing to persist user-chosen filters across tab switches, expected to be fixed by RC-3

8) Depositions: is the calendar view coming back?

A: A unified deposition search and a deposition widget (today + upcoming) are coming for RC-3

Calendar-like visibility by filter will be supported.

9) Document Maintenance: can we sort by last modified?

A: CIP will add a “Date Modified” and "User Modified" column to help with bulk work.

10) Widget list rows colored by Case Status (like STAC 2)?

A: Reasonable; (Hearings widget, Family Cases list, etc.). Expected improvement by RC-3

11) Hotkeys for Merge/New Case/etc.?

A: Yes. Next version ships a hotkey overlay (press Alt to reveal) and adds shortcuts for common actions.

12) Dropdown search UX (code vs description, keyboard focus, clearing typed text)

A: Next version: user preference for Code / Description / Both; better highlight/focus, and clear the typed term after selection.

13) Statute search: why can’t I type in “View All”?

A: By design to avoid user confusion (typing into a non-scoped “all”). Choose Statute / Secondary / Description, then type.

A focus-loss bug is fixed for next build.

Field resizing request noted.

14) Case Name search lost ASA/DAT (and Charge 2/3) columns

A: CIP will add them back to the grid in the next version RC-2

15) Content search missed a Word document

A: Expected: .doc/.docx aren’t indexed. PDFs are; some images are OCR’d; video transcripts (Media Analysis) are searchable.

16) Docs/E-File right pane (Preview/Details) keeps resetting

A: Request to remember last selected pane is on the list and expected to be corrected by RC-3

17) Notes: can we drag-and-drop copy like Image Evidence?

A: On the enhancement list; CIP will explore similar UX for Notes.

18) Scoresheet – Additional Offenses: add Clerk #?

A: Waiting for external confirmation; if none by next week, CIP will proceed with the change to keep momentum.

19) Notes → “All Notes” report: show Defendant Name next to Case

A: That specific report is local to the specific agency (not a CIP standard). You can add Defendant to the layout. If you want CIP help, request it. (Also consider fixing date formatting/spacing.)

20) HTML output format for reports?

A: Still on roadmap; not targeted for RC2.

21) Help Desk “Pending Items” is in multiple posts

A: CIP will consolidate/pin a single list and keep it updated weekly.

22) Inactive Directory names appear when adding Image reviewers

A: Check Setup → Users: if the User is still active, they’ll appear even if the Directory card is inactive. Deactivate the User and clear cache in STAC 3. The Reviewer field is looking for Users with an active Username, not the Directory record.
