General Updates (reviewed release notes)
• Release & Installer: RC1 demonstrated; an installer issue was found (reports not upgrading correctly). A corrected package will be re-posted. Delete any previously downloaded installer and use the new link for RC1.1
• In-App Document Maintenance: [New] Setup → Configuration → Document Maintenance lets admins create/preview/edit templates, drag/drop variables, and save—no Word/Client Tools required. Editor now shows a ruler.
• Consolidation UI: Right-click → More → Consolidation now includes Consolidate Multiple / Single Defendant (flow unchanged, UI refreshed).
• Widgets & Dashboard: Duplicate widgets blocked on the same page. New widgets: My Open Cases by User Status and My Pending Forms (forms waiting your review).
• Global UX/Parity: Default charge sort = Sequence → Count; bond type/amount decoupled; dropdown clipping fixed; multi-select remains open; bottom-bar Refresh added to all tabs; grids support ↑/↓ to navigate selections; only active types appear in pickers; calendar respects 12/24-hr preference.
• Directory & Email : Full name shows in search; tab order and search focus fixed; validations tightened (no “blank” names; last-name edit lock obeyed). Email fields now allow one Main email plus unlimited CC/Subpoena/Alt Service; validation prevents Main appearing in CC. (Open: confirm whether CC sends with Subpoena.)
• Images/Preview: Carousel layout corrected; zoom scales labels; file size shows decimals; animated previews play; new conversions supported: NEF, HEIF, MJPEG (via CMS/Link Parser).
• My STAC / Merge / Case Info: eService selection fixed; assignment workflow permissions honored; Hyperlink Center multi-download; relationship Name and Type split into separate columns; case card shows missing fields; “Skip Reopen” prompt mirrors STAC 2.

• Redaction box occasionally shifts position after save (example doc shown live). Action: SA19 to send sample; CIP to reproduce/fix.
• Requested: redacted copy should inherit original image comment (also requested by SA12/PD5/SA5).

• Messages: When no case is found from Case tab, user sees “User not authorized for case card.” Request clearer “No case found” message.
• Images → Add flow: After typing then mouse-selecting a dropdown, Tab moves focus behind control; arrow-down then Tab works.
• Split/Separate Case: Dialog/list should show Case Number instead of internal ID. (Example to be emailed.)
• Editor: Asked about grammar checking (commas, punctuation). Current: basic grammar/spell only; recommend Grammarly browser plug-in.
• Dashboard filter: User Status filter intermittently disappears until panels are resized; UI polish requested.
• Case/Directory Research: Selecting one item still returns all results; longstanding issue.

• Directory Security – Officer Leave: In STAC 2, users could add Officer Leave without full officer directory edit rights. In STAC 3, appears to require full control on directory type + leave. Request finer-grained permission (leave-only).
• Communications → Messages: Confirmed you can free-type recipients, enter email/phone and press Enter (ensure channel type matches).
• Plan to test RC1 behaviors post-installer fix.

Filing – “Filed As” Requirement
Q: Can STAC 3 force “Filed As” like STAC 2 so users can’t bypass it?
A: Yes, via configuration. Mark the Event=Filed-As subtype Required to block bypass. A parity enhancement (default require) is under review.
